Still kind of funny to talk about puppeteering a stormtrooper given the fact that one of the first clips we saw of this game showed Cal literally force pulling a stormtrooper and then manipulating him with the force to shoot other troopers.Įxactly, that's what made the ending encounter with Darth Vader so memorable and thrilling. Even with his Jedi powers he still just one person in the face of this massive empire. It helps to provide a sense of scale to the conflict. He probably won't die in the end, but his overall impact is going to likely be limited to a specific person or group of people that he helps save. We know he's not going to defeat the empire or become an entity that's really known at all and had some critical and important role in the eventual downfall. I don't know where Cal's journey eventually is going to end, but I do kind of like the somewhat fatalistic undertone to it all. Like I want him to be fun to play as and to have some really cool powers and fights, but at the end of the day he's supposed to be just like any other member of the Jedi order.

That actually is one of the things that kind of has me nervous is that I don't want them to over embellish how capable Cal is nor get him into any kind of seriously crazy adventure where the whole future of the Galaxy depends on him.

Like that's what the gulf in abilities and powers are between your average Jedi and a true master and chosen one.
